CHI(Guangdong)
has completed the project of MARJAN, a series of semi-submersible offshore
conversion project, with 5 chute conversions, 12 days ahead of schedule. In the
process of undertaking the project, CHI(Guangdong) adjusted the resource
allocation in a timely manner, which guaranteed the early delivery. This series
of projects involve about 7,000 tonnes of steel structure, involving 3 vessels. The
MARJAN slipway project involves prefabrication, transfer and disassembly of 220
segments for 3 vessels. Before fixing the segments, the project team used the
ultra-high pressure water robot to remove the paint, which, on one hand,
eliminated the safety risk of fire, and on the other hand, increased the
efficiency by about 20 times. The MARJAN slipway project lasted 270 days and
achieved the goal of 300,000 man-hours without injury. The
total length of welded seams of MARJAN slipway series project is more than
130,000 meters, the total length of UT is more than 30,000 meters, with a pass
rate of 99.2%; the total length of MT is more than 110,000 meters, with a pass
rate of 99.96%. Vessel “Xianghekou” is the largest vessel in MARJAN
slipway project, with a single vessel capacity of about 3,500 dwt. CHI(Guangdong)
undertook this project with 3 vessels and 5 modifications, and finally each
modification was completed earlier than planned, which was highly praised by
the shipowner.
