On July 8, China's
first intelligent dual-use ship, the "Xin Hongzhuan," was named and
delivered in Dalian, Liaoning. The ship employs a
life cycle management system that leverages 3D models, drawings and other design
to create a visual interface. This system also provides trend analysis and
prediction of the ship's status through automatic data collection and
monitoring of hull stress and vibration. Additionally, it provides access to
the project's information management, from construction to shipment, through
the visual interface. The intelligent platform is scalable and equipped with a
completely open data interface program, facilitating access to other systems,
enabling the development and test of software applications. It also serves as a
test platform. In comparison to
traditional vessels, the ship is outfitted with an intelligent lab and a
multimedia room, addressing the need of researchers and students alike.
Furthermore, the digital twin technology enables virtual training such as
electric propulsion, integrated automation, ship intelligence, and more.
