On the morning of January 16th, the delivery ceremony of Gria LNGC Conversion Prometheus FSRU of PetroChina Pipeline Bureau undertaken by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Shanghai), a subsidiary of CHI, was held at No.2 Wharf of CHI (Shanghai). This project is the first MOSS ball tank type LNGC conversion FSRU project in China, and it is the first One Belt One Road energy project between Chinese enterprises and the European Union.

The FSRU Prometheus can store 137,000 m3 of LNG and has a regasification capacity of 4x105 MMSCFD, with advanced equipment configurations, and will serve the One Belt One Road Vassilikos Port LNG terminal project. This project is the largest engineering project in Cyprus in recent years, and is an important part of its national energy strategy to reach the EU emission reduction targets and increase the proportion of natural gas in power generation, which will help Cyprus reduce carbon emissions by 30% and lower the cost of power generation by 15-25%. The conversion and delivery of this project signifies that CHI has the ability to work on the whole chain of LNGC converted FSRU.
