Dalian COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry has completed repairs on the bulk carrier "Shun Fu Da", enabling the vessel to depart two days ahead of schedule. Despite a tight timeline and unexpected additional work, the project team delivered high-quality repairs, earning praise from the shipowner.

The scope of work included renewing inner bottom plates in multiple cargo holds, cleaning fuel oil tanks, and overhauling key machinery like the main engine and generators. During the dry-docking, a survey revealed cracks posing a leakage risk on the outer bottom plate of a ballast tank. The project management team promptly executed an emergency plan, efficiently mobilizing resources to complete the critical repair.

The fuel tank cleaning was finished within one day, and the outer plate renewal utilized continuous operations to meet the undocking deadline.

The shipowner's technical superintendent highly praised the team's expertise and efficiency, expressing interest in future repair collaborations.
