On 9^th February, COSCO Shipping Industry’s major shipyard - COSCO Nantong Shipyard has successfully delivered the FPSO “Western ISLES”. The sailing ceremony was hold in COSCO Qidong Offshore. This FPSO is cylinder type which is designed by COSCO Nantong Shipyard and built for UK oil company DANA. the FPSO will be soon sent to work in UK North Sea, and it will help DANA to develop North Sea business and establish a new production line in there.

FPSO “Western ISLES” is the first EPC project in China offshore construction industry, and fills many technology blank of FPSO technical design, module construction, platform test, which means China offshore construction industry has made a great jump from offshore base production to advanced production design and construction.
