On May 30, the world's largest container class 24,188 TEU ultra-large container series first production vessel DE093, built by DACKS for OOCL was named.

 The "OOCL PIRAEUS" is the first of six 24,188 TEU container vessels built, and is the second vessel of the same type delivered by CHI. With an overall L*B*D size of 399.99m*61.3m*33.2m and a deck area close to four standard football pitches, the vessel is currently one of the largest container vessels in the world in terms of size and number of container spaces. The vessel is registered by ABS and will serve the Asia-Europe route after it is put into operation, join COSCO Shipping's dual-brand container fleet.
